Hello Ron and Lena, Today Lynne and I went to Howard's memorial at Traps across from his house. It was very well attended. Beautiful ceremony. Beautiful sunny day, a Howard beach day. Emily was there, as were so many others. Julie Thunder, Mike Benedict, Jerry Barstow, Bogdan, Robert Wald and Scott Roberts spoke. There was the story of saving his brother's life told by Mike. Robert Wald told the story of Howard riding the grey whale. Good stuff. Great paddle out. Must have been 40 people in the water. Storyboard pictures with old old ones of you, Ronnie, Marvin, Marvin 40 year old cartoon and many of parties of the 80's. So many people there. I said a prayer for both of you, to myself. I know you were there in spirit. Give a temple offering for Howard. A reminder to be easy going and have a smile on your face, in your eyes and in your heart. I hope the time in Bali is enlightening and soulfully enriching. Yours, Richie
An addendum to my previous message Ronnie and Lena. There were over 100 in a circle in the paddle out, not 40. I need glasses. It was impressive. Just wanted to make that correction so you had a good idea of the experience. Selamat Tidur. Richie
Hola Lena & Ronnie, Yes as Richie says you both were on alot of our minds yesterday, many friends from so many years ago! We felt your spirt & hugs. It was an amazing incrediable Howard Day! We all look forward to telling you about it when you return. Keep enjoying all that beautiful food & peaceful time in your Beautiful sorroundings:) Thom is leaving now on the 26th & flying into Phuket.Do you know Lori Dewitt? he is going to catch up w/ her son at a Surf area.
