here we go, the final push. packing our bags two days ago opened my eyes to the fact that my new eagle creek bag would not fully open with the small removable backpack still attached. it was a shock to me. i like to have my stuff fully visible with easy access. so off we raced to Marshall's of all places and spent an hour checking the roller bags they had. cheap and colorful, i ended up buying a Samsonite bag in aubergine. it has a big opening, cheap plastic wheels, and a questionable extending handle. but it works, and opens fully to expose the "belly" of the bag. so easy. i love it. if it falls apart, i will buy another in thailand. Another check off the list
